Marion Fuchs is an eclectic artist - on subjects that concern her, in the mediums she creates, and in her style. Fuchs is sensitive to social injustices and environmental disasters, and in her art, she deals with these issues alongside personal-biographical subjects. For each work of art, she chooses the medium that she thinks best expresses its subject: oil painting, etching, ink drawing, mixed techniques, everyday materials, video, and more. She's constantly searching, and her creative style changes accordingly, to suit the medium with which she works. In a lot of her work, Fuchs uses screens and concealment, and often develops themes through series. Feelings of pain, hardships, and anxiety are a prominent feature in her art, and are constantly present in them.

Marion Fuchs was born in Santiago, Chile in 1948. She was exposed to art as a child thanks to her close relationship with her grandmother, the painter Rebeca Lourie de Mayanz. Her grandmother was a prolific artist in Chile during the years 1927-1987 and some of her work is displayed in Museo de Arte Contemporario de Chile. Fuch's childhood memories include her grandmother's art, painting with her in her home studio, and the strong smell of the oil colors in her house. These experiences left their mark on Fuchs and influenced her to embark on her own art career. They also inspired her work over the years. In 1967, Fuchs joined Hashomer Hatzair youth movement, immigrated to Israel, and joined Kibbutz Metzer with her husband and other members of the South-American group. The first years on the kibbutz were difficult for Fuchs, as she was forced to adapt to a new landscape, to kibbutz life, and to a new culture.

After those first years of adjustment, Fuchs decided to pursue her calling and study art. Between the years 1971-1974, she studied at the Avni Institute of Art with Yehezkel Streichman and Moshe Propes. Between the years 1975-1980, she studied printing and etching in the print workshops of the Artists House in Tel Aviv with Alima and Dan Krieger, and in 1978 she received a scholarship to continue her studies in the field. Between the years 1988-1991, she studied at the Bezalel Academy of Art under the guidance of Larry Abramson and Yitzhak Livne.

Over the years, Fuchs has also taught art at the elementary school in Kibbutz Metzer, at the school in Ein Shemer and in Givat Haviva. Fuchs has displayed her work in solo exhibitions at the Haifa Museum of Art, the "Kibbutz" Gallery, the Givat Haviva Collaborative Art Center (in collaboration with the Ein Harod Museum of Art), the Givat Hayim-Ihud Art Gallery and the Gallery Hubertus Wunschik in Mönchengladbach, Germany. She has also shown her work in many group exhibitions including "In Memoriam Joseph Beuys"(1986) in the University of Visual Arts in Caracas, Venezuela, the exhibition "Unresolved Conflicts" (2001) at the Contemporary Art Gallery in Kiryat Tivon, curator Tali Garbuz, and the exhibition "Landscape Painters" (2018) at the Artists' House in Tel Aviv, curators Ruti Hinski-Amitai and Ruth Marcus.
